The Stevenson trail
The Chemin de Stevenson, or GR70, is a legendary hiking route that retraces the journey made by writer Robert Louis Stevenson in 1878. He travelled this route on foot with his donkey. The Chemin de Stevenson is around 252 km long and crosses several regions as far as Saint-Jean-du-Gard in the Cévennes. The route winds its way through a variety of landscapes: mountains, forests, valleys, rivers and picturesque villages.
